The Maggie Vest is a top-down knit with a tailored look and thoughtful shaping throughout. It begins with the back yoke, worked flat and shaped with increases. Stitches for the shoulders are then picked up along the back yoke, and each front is shaped individually with increases and decreases. At the underarms, the fronts and back are joined, and the body is worked flat to the hem. Ribbing is added around the armholes, and the vest is finished with front plackets and a neckline worked in rib for a polished finish. Be sure to knit a swatch before starting to ensure proper gauge.
